I have never played a Mass Effect. I want to start now. I have two options. First, play the entire trilogy on Xbox 360. Second, play the first game on Xbox 360 or PC and the second and third on PS3. What would you recommend?

Play the entire trilogy on the Xbox 360. It’ll be easiest to play there. And be prepared for a long and thoroughly enjoyable endeavor: the games are long but every moment of it is utterly amazing. Only have to wait another 8 months for Mass Effect 3.

Twilight/Dexter Writer on Her New ABC Series

Melissa Rosenberg, who wrote on Dexter for the first four years and went on to pen the Twilight film franchise, has taken on her first series as a creator/showrunner with ABC’s Red Widow.

Set to premiere on March 3, the show focuses on Marta (Radha Mitchell), a housewife whose criminal husband is murdered as a result of his involvement in stealing millions of dollars of cocaine from a gangster (Goran Visnjic), To protect her family (and perhaps enact some revenge along the way), Marta ends up taking up her husband’s criminal activities, with both fellow criminals and the FBI among her adversaries.

Rosenberg, Mitchell and Visnjic were on hand at this week’s TCA (television critics association) tour to talk about the new series, and what audiences can expect from it.

In an interview with IGN, Tomb Raider’s creative director Noah Hughes has spoken about the future of Crystal Dynamics’ younger Lara as the studio’s Tomb Raider reboot nears release.

The new Tomb Raider chronicles Lara’s first adventure, seeing her grow from frightened, shipwrecked survivor to toughened adventurer – but her development doesn’t just stop there, says Noah. “We envision carrying forward from here, rather than this being a brief detour into her origins,” he says. “We want to start this adventure here and carry it on… that’s not to say we wouldn’t skip a year here or there, but we started this with the idea of continuity and building upon
