In fall 2011, EA launched a rather pointed marketing campaign in its efforts to usurp Activision’s Modern Warfare 3′s multiplayer throne, challenging players to “go above and beyond the call” with its latest shooter, Battlefield 3. While EA inevitably couldn’t scratch the Call of Duty juggernaut in overall sales, it planned to extend the title’s shelf-life with an ambitious post-release content strategy that would span the next year and a half, culminating in this month’s launch of End Game — the fifth and final downloadable release for Battlefield 3.
Such lengthy post-release support is uncommon for the industry and the shooter genre, but with Battlefield 4 possibly more than another year away, EA has successfully limited the gap. And more importantly, it’s done so with substantive multiplayer expansions that not only reinforced the core product, but expanded the game thematically, mechanically, and experientially.
Question by Sayed: How to learn about maps in battlefield 3?
Guys and peeps,
I have been playing battlefield since it came out and I am very good at shooting games. But the problem I face is maps. Is it compulsory to learn the full map. I have no issues with my kill-death ratio so far but some people told me to memorize the entire map as that would help me improve my game a lot.
Some tips needed for the maps in battlefield 3. How do you learn maps and what do you learn in those maps?

Not sure if the entire maps are playable in singleplayer but try to move through most of the map when it begins and pay attention to the type of cover and how much cover it gives and do the same for the other team. Just stick to cover and move when clear. After you have ran around the entire map a few times you will get it. Hope this helps

Last I checked the beta was only available if you preordered moh. They will hopefully have an open beta closer to release

Bad Company 2 seems to have an “immature” type of campaign. But Battlefield 3 is all “mature” with actual war scenarios. Why is this? Why is the mentality of these 2-games different?

There was also just a normal Battlefield 2.
The “Bad Company” series is slightly different.

I had dropped my Xbox right on its HDD and now it doesn’t want play almost everything that I have installed, Including a multiplayer update for Bf3. So now the only way I can play it is by deleting the multiplayer update. So is it possible to play Battlefield 3 multiplayer without the update?

You can chose to sign-out of xbox live and play without an update. If you delete the update however, it will likely just ask you to download it again which in all likelihood will fix the problem

I got the limited edition Battlefield 3, but a few weeks ago, it broke. I’m planning to get it again soon, but if I don’t get the limited edition, will the DLC be free? Also when I got the limited edition, I used all the codes that came with it.

The code is all you need because the code acts as a multiplayer pass, and a free ticket for the Back to Karkand DLC. When you get your new battlefield 3 disk, then it should be free in the marketplace. Back to Karkand is awesome btw. Hope this helps!
